ZACCIO /ZAT-CHIO/— THE MONSTER ROCKER
The idea of creating a mascot for SPICY JAMS started when I first designed a backpack inspired by Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal’s new hot sauce “Bumble F**ked” after he liked and shared an info-video I created for his sauces.
The backpack design involved little cute monster devils cooking and being cooked with/in fire and a sensei monster throwing a bottle of hot sauce the blew up to form the SPICY JAMS logo with a little monster devil screaming because he was afraid to be burnt by the sauce. I know, weird and twisted stuff haha :)
The design got a lot of positive and interesting feedback from some friends and followers on Instagram— I personally loved it because I love mascots and characters in brands, especially in fashion and accessories like SPRAYGROUND’s shark signature.
Working on another project that week, I was put in contact with an illustrator from Serbia who soon mentioned that he specialises in creating characters and brands mascots, moreover his work involves mainly monsters. I immediately showed him the design that I made and explained that I wish to create a badass yet cute monster rocker who resembles me— blue-eyed, thin-haired and tattooed (I know I went too far here).
The tattoo part couldn’t be realised for obvious and technical reasons, however it was love at the first sight between me and this lil devil. Those who know me know that I’m a picky person who would return any work for review just to compare several options and versions in order to make a solid decision. This wasn’t the case at all!!! I just loved everything about this monster rocker and couldn’t find any spot to send back for review because there was nothing that I wanted to change. I gotta admit it was quite disturbing because I usually need a few variations of the work in order to approve it, but I gave it 3 days to see how would I feel about it…. Obviously that look on his face got me hooked.
Probably the biggest Iron Maiden fan I've come across— T Shirts, puzzles, Deluxe Packages, sheets (I think), etc... Anything Iron Maiden had ever released can be found at her place :) If you're a Maiden boy or girl, you should definitely follow her profile!
